There are many things to see and do on Vancouver Island, most of which can be done in a luxury limousine! We do tours all over Nanaimo, Parksville, Qualicum, Ladysmith, Courtenay, Campbell River, and even Port Alberni. Below is but a small list of must-see attractions on our beautiful island!
CATHEDRAL GROVE, COOMBS EMPORIUM, GOATS ON THE ROOF, BUTTERFLY WORLD
Cathedral Grove, located in MacMillan Provincial Park, is one of the most accessible stands of giant Douglas fir trees on Vancouver Island. Here visitors can stroll through a network of trails under the shadow of towering ancient Douglas-fir trees, majestic pillars untouched by the modern world – some more than 800 years old.
Trails on either side of the highway lead visitors through the mighty stands of this coastal forest. On the south side you will find the largest Douglas firs – one measuring more than 9 metres in circumference. On the northern side of the road, you’ll find groves of ancient Western red cedar standing sentry over nearby Cameron Lake. https://bcparks.ca/explore/parkpgs/macmillan/
The Old Country Market in Coombs started as a roadside fruit stand, providing fresh fruit to travelers heading to the west coast of the island. Over the years it has evolved into a landmark of Coombs, with a mixture of shops and eateries for locals and visitors alike. Oh yeah, and there are goats…on the roof!
At Butterfly World in Coombs, they provide a contained facility designed to replicate the natural environment of its residents that hail from South America and Asia. The greenhouse features densely planted tropical host plants, as well as a pond housing Japanese Koi that provides essential moisture to the environment. Strolling along the path through the greenhouse you will find an Emerging Area filled with Pupa’s in the Chrysalis stage.

ENGLISHMAN RIVER FALLS
Situated along the pristine Englishman River north of Nanaimo, Englishman River Falls Provincial Park features two stunning waterfalls cascading along the descending riverbed into a deep canyon.
This picturesque destination, set amid a lush old-growth and second-growth forest of Douglas fir, cedar, hemlock and maple, is an ideal location from which to explore and appreciate the incredible diversity of mid-Vancouver Island, including the Pacific Rim and the sandy shores of Parksville and Qualicum.
Visitors can expect spectacular views, particularly from two bridges that cross the river where it plunges down the narrow rock canyon toward quieter waters below. The lower falls end in a deep crystal-clear pool – an ideal swimming hole in the summer when river levels are low and a great place to view spawning salmon in the fall.
